Antiques and collectibles are some of the most interesting items that come through our doors at Imperial Jewelry & Loan. From sports memorabilia to vintage advertising to historical pieces, we are always interested in seeing unique items with real market value. What We Buy and Pawn
We focus on collectibles with verified market value, primarily graded and authenticated items from established categories. If you have something unique or unusual, we are always happy to take a look, but the items below are where we are most active.
Comic Books
Graded comic books are a real category for us, especially key issues and higher-grade books. We only accept comics that are professionally graded by CGC or CBCS. Raw and ungraded comics, even older ones, are difficult to value with confidence, so we pass on them.
Graded Paper Currency
Collectible American paper currency in graded slabs is something we buy and pawn. We accept notes graded by PMG or PCGS Currency, including older silver certificates, large-size notes, star notes, and other collectible bills. Ungraded raw currency is generally something we pass on for collector value, though we will always evaluate older or unusual notes if you have them.
Vintage Toys and Action Figures
We look at vintage toys, action figures, and other collectibles on a case-by-case basis. We prefer items that are graded by recognized services like AFA, WATA, or CGC, especially for video games and high-end action figures. Original packaging, condition, and rarity all matter. Bring it in and we will tell you what we see.
Military and Historical Items
We are interested in militaria and historical pieces, including WWII-era items, vintage swords and edged weapons, medals, uniforms, and other historical artifacts. We do not handle firearm-related items on this side of the business.
Vintage Advertising and Americana
Old advertising signs, gas and oil collectibles, vintage breweriana, and other Americana with genuine age and character are worth bringing by. Reproductions and modern decor items are usually not something we can buy.
Sports Memorabilia
Sports cards and signed items come through occasionally. For sports cards, we require professional grading from PSA, BGS, SGC, or CGC. For signed items, signatures must be authenticated by a recognized third-party service such as PSA/DNA, JSA, or Beckett. Sports memorabilia is not a primary focus for us, but well-documented graded items are worth bringing by.
What Makes a Good Evaluation
Collectibles vary wildly in value, even between items that look similar. To get the most accurate offer, bring whatever you have that proves authenticity or provenance: certificates of authenticity, grading slabs, original receipts, family documentation, or related paperwork. The more we can verify, the more confident we can be in our offer.
